Why do some people like Obama so much? I don't understand. Personally, I think there are many flaws that really scare me about him. So if you like Obama, please tell me why or if you don't, tell me why! Thanks!

I agree. I also think that a lot of people are going to vote for him just because of his color. Not that there is anything wrong w/ not being white 'cause i have tons of friends that are not white. Actually some of them are my best friends. I really admire them. I luv how they always stand up for their friends & family, but i just don't think that Obama is the best choice for president. We really need to think about all the teens & pre-teens out there. he would be our president until i'm 17 & thats not counting if he gets re-elected for a second term. I also don't think that John Mcain is going to be the best president that we'll have but i think we're a lot safer to vote for him.The only thing i know for sure is that these are not going to be the best years of our lifes if Obama gets elected.I'm kinda scared. All we can really do is pray.

*sigh* Everyone has flaws, Ally. Senator McCain has flaws, President Bush has flaws, and Senator Obama has flaws.

Anyways, I think Obama has become popular not only because of his color, but his ambition to change America and his moving speeches and all that... But really, I don't think he's one to be trusted. We hardly know anything of his background. His father was a Muslim, his  ex-pastor is racist, and he's only lived in America for like, 3 years. I don't think he's experienced enough to lead this country.

To be honest, Sen. McCain isn't all that "experienced" either. I do think his plans on how to rescue the falling economy are pretty smart, and his running mate, Gov. Palin, is really a great pick, I think. He chose well.

Whatever happens, I just hope the country's economy and everything will change for the better. All of us are suffering.

I am for Barack Obama, and I am actually more intrigued about why people are so against him.

I have seen statements about his father being a Muslim. Since when has being the son of a Muslim, or being Muslim, disqualify a person from a job? If 9/11 is the motive, it is ridiculous. That is a perfect example of stereotyping and it proves that Americans are closeminded cowards. If we dare to vilify an entire group of people (which numbers at 2 billion), because of the actions of 1 billionth of them, we are insane and are not fit to engage in such a conversation anyway.

Also, the statement that "Obama has flaws, and that he is scary" welcome to how the rest of the freaking world felt about Bush. Yet, no one cares.

I am for Obama because he has a plan to assist the poor, which are a result of unfair business, legal and social practices in America. His plan will benefit minorities in particular, as they have suffered from an unfair system in America from day one. His take on foreign policy is one that is simple and yet Bush refuses to use it. It is a term known as diplomacy. I don't blame anyone if they don't know what it means, because we have not seen leaders that have been willing to converse on issues. Tough talk about "killing terrorists" is o.k. but it is not affective, and fighting terror is as hard as killing the boogey man.

Obama symbolizes a dramatic shift that does not further privilege the privileged.

He is a good choice, not the best ever, but better than McCain and Palin. For the record, Palin is not a good choice, talk about lack of experience.

Experience has nothing to do with the Presidency. No one has experience being the president.
