As some of you know from my prayer request, my brother-in-law David died on Thursday, May 1st of a massive heart attack (at the young age of 38yrs). I was so grieved and worn out that I didn't share the miracle that happened on Thursday afternoon when David died.
David sold the home that we are living in to us 15 yrs ago. For 15 yrs we have mowed the lawn at least 1-2 times a month if not 1-2 times a week (I live in South Florida). Yesterday, before we recieved the horrific shocking news that David had passed away, my husband, Will, and I were mowing the lawn. Will saw a gleaming glint in the grass at his first pass with the lawn mower, and took a double take but didn't see what it was...so he mowed on ignoring it. On the second pass the gleaming glint was brighter, so he bent down and brushed the dirt away revealing a gold wedding band. Will was told at one time that when David and Jennifer had lived here, Dave lost his wedding ring in the yard, but he couldn't be sure this was his ring. He slipped it on his pinky finger thinking it would be a perfect excuse to give his 'always way too busy' brother a call...to find out if it was his lost ring. But unfortunately, Will never got the opportunity to even call David to ask, as he recieved the devastating news that Dave died instead. It was then that he told me he had just found the ring, and wondered if it was Dave's first wedding ring that he had lost years and years before. When we rushed to meet with David's wife Jennifer and his family, Will still had the ring on his finger, and asked Jennifer if it was David's ring. Her swollen red eyes widened as she exclaimed 'YES IT IS...where did you find it!'. Will found it in a part of the yard that has never been disturbed next to the driveway...not even the from the hurricanes we have had. Jennifer began to sob, because she did not get to say good-bye to her husband, as he had already passed away before she got to the emergency room. She felt like it was a message from above, from Dave that he 'was okay, and loved her very much'. We have mowed that lawn so many, many times I can't count the times...so I truly believe this is a message to Jennifer, and to all those who don't believe in the 'after-life'. Praise God - Praise God -- PRAISE GOD!!!!! |

A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell. C. S. Lewis |
