Hello all, this is something I thought I would share as God showed me,now every were I turn this same topic is popping up! Hope ya all can follow my thought!
Amplified Bible
4-4-08

24And Jacob was left alone, and a Man wrestled with him until daybreak.

25And when [the Man] saw that He did not prevail against [Jacob], He touched the hollow of his thigh; and Jacob's thigh was put out of joint as he wrestled with Him.

26Then He said, Let Me go, for day is breaking. But [Jacob] said, I will not let You go unless You declare a blessing upon me.

27[The Man] asked him, What is your name? And [in shock of realization, whispering] he said, Jacob [supplanter, schemer, trickster, swindler]!

28And He said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob [supplanter], but Israel [contender with God]; for you have contended and have power with God and with men and have prevailed.Jacob name= to supplant = follow at the heel, to hold backIsrael = to contend = persist, exert oneself, persevere, have power  This within it self is so powerful as to what God is saying. So if ya all remember the picture I drew, LOL! (of Jacob’s ladder) To find that place of rest, and head up by the pressing past the wrestling in that place within and to work it wrestle it out with God to the point of receiving fullness of who we are! Jacob I feel found a place of dissatisfaction with his life at that point. Realizing of the past and what needed adjusted in him; he set out by God’s prompting to take him to the place to meet himself. What I mean by this is to meet that flesh pattern that needed to be done. God already went before him and knew how to deal with that fear issue in him. The generational issue that Jacob had, not God; (having the name Jacob=, supplanter, to bring him into fullness of the promise to him from God to make him a nation, Israel! Isaiah 57: 14-15. And it will be said, “Build up, build up, prepare the way, Remove every obstacle out of the way of my people.”  For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, I dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit  In order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. What is our obstacle? It is as I see in light of all these passages (our misalignment, with in) So here I see that in that realm of the Heart we are in struggle against our own selves till we realize it is all part of the whole, and come into line, (come into rest) with God. To do the next passage full justice I need to back up to (verse 6) “Is this not the fast which I CHOOSE, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, To undo the bands of the YOKE, and to let the oppressed go free and break EVERY YOKE?  Prime root= to dislodge, let fall, drop, be moved, be overthrown, to be greatly shaken. WOW!!!!

Isaiah 58: 7 Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house--when you see the naked, that you cover him, and that you hide not yourself from [the needs of] your own flesh and blood?

So let us not enter again into bondage, and allow God to bless us, and dislodge all that hinders us! Then we hide not from our own flesh what is needed to bring us to REST!!!!   Sorry this is hard for me to put the full thought to paper! So forgive me if I do not paint a full picture for ya all. This is a work in progress. So the simple of this is, that each of us, has issues and past within, that we our own selves wrestle with, but then God says who we are from the foundation of the earth He knew our beginning and end, so He brings us to a place with in that we start asking question of why and how come (wrestle) with who God says we are and who we think we are. Hence the process of breakthrough, to recognize God’s fullness of His already promise, for us! So in all this I find that the place of rest is also the place of wrestling, so that we receive the full blessing of God’s already promise to us.  Well all I am going to drop off there for now, as I do not want to tweak ya all’s heads to much! LOL! Yet do believe me when I say there is more, LOL! Love and blessings, Jeanie
