Directions to Resize and Upload Profile Pictures

This is a response to someone who had a question about resizing their profile picture so they could upload it...(it being too big)...I took awhile to type this up -- so I decided to make it a sticky for those of you with the same question (but YOU are a scaredy-cat...and afraid to ask for help :)

I have edited a picture of my daughter and son, and uploaded it to my daughter's page...I have directions for you through a Screen Shot photo essay.  (Click on the links below the thumbnails (little pictures) to see a larger picture...opening in a new window--so you will stay here and not lose this page).

Open Lunapic and upload your picture....

Once your pic is uploaded... click on the 'edit' button, and choose "resize image"

Use the pull-down menu and choose one of the ready made sizes or type the sizes you want in the text boxes provided below, width, and height (graphic sizes are generally 200-300 x 300-400 px).

Once you choose your size, with the pull-down menu or typing the size in the width and height boxes, then click "Go"

Click on "Download" in the lower left corner of your picture .

Click "Save" and your computer's picture files will open.

When you files open, you can save your picture with the number that Lunapic calls your pic or....

.....You can type the name you want and then save to your files.

This is my results on my daughter's old page,... I use it now... because she is rarely on the computer (her and her brother :))

i just made my own back ground and i can't figure out how to put it on as my back ground i really would love the help

Upload your background to JC Faith photos so that you will have a *url*. (starts with "http://  .... and ends with .gif, .png or .jpg)

body {
 background-color:none;
 background-image:url("YOUR URL");
 background-attachment:fixed;
 background-position:top center;
 background-repeat:no-repeat;
}



If you would like to generate a whole code with background, table and border -color...text-color and font...etc....  click http://www.pimp-my-profile.com/generators/myspace.php  (click on the buttons that say background, tables, text, etc...)  Copy the generated code, and paste it in the CSS box in your edit area.
