Encouragement and Reflection: What are you building your life around? What is the center of your life ? Really?? You can center your life around your career, family, job, sports, hobbies, money, fun, or other activities... but they are not what God wants you to have at the center of your life. What is at the center of your life actually determines who you are and the choices you make. If your life is built upon an idol like the afore mentioned items or things, then you are breaking the 1st and 2nd commandments. God is to be first in your life. Christ is to be at the center, and your life should radiate Christ as you life a holy and godly life in this evil and fallen world. If Christ is indeed the center of your life, then regardless of what you are doing in life....you should be growing in holiness and studying the Bible regularly, and praying to God daily. Your prayer life should grow and your life should be based on scripture as its application to your life grows and thrives because of Christ Jesus at the center of your life. Your words, actions, thoughts, and decisions are based on holiness. We are to be holy as God is Holy, this is what Scripture says. My challenge for you today is to look at your life and see if Christ is really at the center of your life. If not, Get right with God today and as Ephesians 3:17 says "I pray that your faith in Christ will grow more and more in your life". Your life is on "God's track" for your life and you are in His will if you are living for Him and making the Kingdom of God the priority in your life.*Campus Crusade for Christ can help you find a group of Christians to fellowship with and to grow in the Faith. They have a great discipleship course too. *You can also grow deeper in scriptures by taking the discipleship course "Sobe" at www.livingwaters.com May God bless you in 2008 as you seek to live for God and be a growing disciple of Christ. |
