A prayer to break generation curses.

My nephew, Paul, is struggling with drug addiction. Please pray that he will be drawn by the Holy Spirit and will live God's divine purpose for his life. Please pray for his mother, who is truly hurting at this time. She lost her oldest son a year ago due to the same demonic attack. She is now battling with alcoholism. Paul's father also lost to the struggle of drug addiction. In 1998, Paul lost two uncles from the same attack. I am believing that this generational curse shall be broken and Paul and his mother will overcome drug and alcohol addiction. Please pray that Paul and his mother will discover the awesome peace in Christ Jesus. Thank you. |

Heavenly Father, I come before you, in the blessed name of Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit. I thank you for sending Jesus by whose holy blood and precious sacrifice Paul and his loved ones can be set free from the brokenness, sinful attitudes and negative patterns of their ancestry. I thank You, Father, that you have called Paul to be free from all bondage in the name of Jesus, and I praise you that, in Christ, he shall be set free.
And now, Lord Jesus, gently reveal to Paul in the power of the Holy Spirit those ways in which he may be living out inherited sin patterns. All of these sin patterns, known and unknown to him, in his life and in the lives of my ancestors. In the name of Jesus and by his holy blood, set this family free from this generaltional bondage, Holy Father. Empty our souls of sin, and fill them with the holiness of Jesus. In Jesus Name I pray....Amen |

Lord and Most Gracious Heavenly Father I come to you in humilty and seek the curse of addiction broken from the life of Paul. Lord I ask that he surrender his life to you and that he will know the comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit Lord I ask that you bring him into a place of conviction to rid his life of such a demonic force so that he will be able to life a life of joy, peace and love. Lord I ask that you comfort his mother and that she too will be able to come to know of your love and peace. That Lord they will both reach out to you especially at this desperate time in their lives. Lord I ask that you pour out your healing power to break this curse of drug addiction upon Paul and that he will realise that there is more to life than drugs. Lord grant them peace, grace and mercy In the mighty name of Jesus I pray Amen

We pray, O God of hope,
for all families whose lives are torn and disrupted by drugs and alcohol. Enable them to identify the illness. Strengthen them to seek help. Bless them with the power of your love, which imparts transformation and wholeness to those who trust in your name. Grant that as they walk this tortured road, they may journey together and bound close in the bond of love. Amen. |

FATHER IN JESUS NAME I ASK THAT YOU PUT YOUR HAND ON THIS FAMILY, AND LORD I ASK THAT YOU COME IN TO THEIR LIFE, AND GUIDE THEM TO WHERE THEY DONT HAVE TO DEPEND ON ANY ALCOHLISM OR DRUGS, AND THEY WILL LEARN THE JOY OF BEING IN THE PRESENTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, FATHER BREAK THIS CURSE THAT IS ON THIS FAMILY. TURN IT AROUND AND MAKE IT BE A BLESSING INSTEAD OF A CURSE. CONVICT THEIR HEART, MAKE THEM HEAR YOUR VOICE, AND LET THEM KNOW THAT LIVING FOR YOU, IT WILL BE BETTER THAN DRUGS AND ALCOHOL, FATHER IN JESUS NAME WHEN THEY DRINK OR DO DRUGS, IT WILL MAKE THEM FEEL SICK TO THEIR STOMACH, AND THEY WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN. EVER. AND FATHER I THANK YOU FOR LOOKING OUT FOR THIS FAMILY THIS FAR, I KNOW IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE. I THANK YOU FATHER. IN JESUS NAME.
