I put this in teens but i wanted some adult views too

(got this from a myspace forum i wrote)

so I've recently come across one of those "if you're not ashamed of being a christian than put your name on the list and repost this" things and i just got thinking....what the crap?.....have we lowered ourselves to where we have to admit to being a christian online where no one can tell how sincere you really are....have we come to the point that we cannot bring the faith and sense of holiness we experience inside the church and bring it into the world...honestly, all of you know you fall victim to this...even I do....its just such a problem... how have we become enticed by worldly things that we (as christians) have to leave the outer-skin of a church goer behind?....
here's some things others have said already:

"Chic C Estose "Chicles" (Its kinda ridiculous that we have to go this low to get people to be open about their faith, whats wrong with us...)
nathan "ginger" richardson (i agree 110% with Chic. something is wrong with "Christians" nowadays. People have to make a survey bulletin thingy in order for people to admit it. id like to challenge everyone that signs this after me to not just do it on here, but to tell 10 people about God and Jesus, witness to 10 people, thats all. See what God can do with that instead of just saying "name:i love jesus." thats great that you do. The Bible also says "if you love me [jesus] then you will obey my commands." and he commands us to "go forth unto judah samaria and the utter ends of the earth" sharing Him. so do it, not just say it.

And besides, whoever started this is wrong, Jesus didn't say "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father" he said "If you deny me before man, I will deny you before my Father." I get what you're trying to do here, and it's great, but atleast quote the King of Kings correctly, PLEEEAAASSSEEE?"

YES JESUS DID SAY "ASHAMED " OF ME AND MY WORDS....

Luk 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Mar 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

MY SUGGESTION IS THAT WE NOT TAKE PART IN ALL THE SILLY SURVEYS.... JUST LET OUR LIGHT SHINE. NO BADGES , BUTTONS OR SURVEY DECLARATIONS, JUST LIVE IT !!!!

LeChic, The LORD will do HIS work in all our hearts in HIS own good time. When I get that kind of thing I just delete it. People don't send them to me much any more, thank GOD. LOVE, KAT

you know I use about three of these things to keep intouch with friends and former calssmates and I feel like I have to make the same argument everytime...thanks for beating me to it
