Hey, how are you doin'? I suppose most of you are out of school for the summer, and some of you are still in school for a little longer. Well, while you are in school, when God says, "Come, lets spend some time together. Lets talk, tell me about that new date of yours, tell me about your new Xbox game, tell me about what's been going on." But is your excuse, "I can't right now, I've got too much homework." or "I have too many quizzes/tests." or "I'm just too swamped with homework." Not all of you may be that way, but a lot of us are, I know I've been that way. But those of you who are out of school for the summer, how are you and God? Are y'all communicating together? And those of you who will be starting summer break soon, are you going to be spending moe time with God? Sure you have traveling and friends and family and jobs and all kinds of stuff, but you can't use the same excuse over and over again. Eventually, you've gotta spend some time with God.
Jeremiah 29:11-13
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 33:3
"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."
James 4:7
"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the , and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you."
God's bigness is so tremendous and incredible, and even though he is so big, he is ever so close too, to the point where we don't have to be intimidated by him, but we can talk to him as a friend. Isn't it just amazing how we can talk to God and even if you don't hear an oral voice, he does talk back. He talks back in your heart, in his word, through other people, and so many other ways too. So I'll ask you once more, how is it between you and God? When God says, "Hey wazzup?" Are you going to talk to him or say ,"I'm too busy for you."

| I'm not afraid of death, whether I die young or old. Knowing that I did something BIG for God is what lets me press on until my time comes. | |

Great Post Allie!
We spend time with who we "Love" huh! It's hard to get to know someone if we don't spend time with them. We need to be in the word, learning it, getting to Know God through Jesus, time in prayer without interuptions, Go to Church & Youth Group and fellowshiping with our friends.
Love Ya!

Even during school, it's relatively easy for me to stay close to God... since I'm a Theology major (with a fascination and devotion to Scripture) my homework is usually reading/studying/learning about Him, and it's quite easy to pray as I'm working and studying, asking God to reveal Himself to me and open my heart and mind to learn His Truth.
During the summer, I tend to keep right on reading and devoting myself theological works, Scripture studies, and devotional reading. It's great.
