First question: On my page or any other page I am on, I find in the comment box or the box that lists various html's to copy and paste the typeset color is yellow. The back ground is white on all but when I attempt to type a comment or even view an html to copy, the typeset is yellow. This makes it very difficult to read. Now after I have typed in the comment box or while attempting to view html's, I can double click on what I've typed or viewed and it will appear readable with brown text. However, this forum message box I'm typing in now was yellow type but I had the option to change the color. Whereas I don't have this option in the comment box. Could my problem be due to my "coffee" theme that I am using? If so, what can I do to fix this annoying problem? Second question: please tell me what the stars found directly below the profile picture represent. I noticed I have two and when my cursor hovers over I see "125 points" appear. Also, what does the number of points refer to? thank you! |

Hello Dee,
Since I'm not too sure about the 1st question, I'll answer your 2nd qestion first. :) Points accumulate with each function you perform on the site. Posting pictures, blogs, forum topics, etc. then we run contests periodically for the most points accumulated in a certain period of time. Did you pull this in as a "complete" layout? If it is one that Marcia (sonshineinflorida) or Sparrow7 created, they can probably change the default font color for you. You could also try going to the "Edit Profile" tab on your account home page and click on "Design My Profile." Take a look at your default color settings. If they are set to yellow, then you can click on the "Select Colors" link and change it to something that will work for you. Be sure that you click on "Save Profile Settings" before you leave that page or it won't change anything. I hope this helped. There are lots of good pointers in the forum section entitled Tutorials/How To's if you have time to explore. :) You might want to click on "Just FYI" first. There are SEVERAL tips that Marcia has left for us. God Bless you, and, Have a Great Week. Sheril |

Hi Sheril, As I mentioned before, I did use the "coffee" theme. From there I modified/tweaked it a bit thru "design my profile". I don't find anywhere under designing my profile to change the default from yellow text color to something darker. I do thank you for the star and points information. God bless you for your time! |

Oh, I get it now.... I thought you were talking about a page layout, but you set your theme on your homepage to "coffee." I went back and switched mine from "space" to "coffee" and I got the yellow default font color as well. I have my comment text color set to kind ofan aqua through the Design My Profile settings and even though the font appeared kind of a gold/yellow color when I typed in the comment box, when I clicked "Submit" the font appeared in aqua. I don't know if users are able to change a default color in a "theme" set-up. I suspect ....not. If the yellow color bothers you when you enter text, you might try another theme. "Space" is kind of uneventful, but at least the text color is blue. :) Blessings to you, Sheril |
