I would love it if someone could help me.  My husband and I are going to an awesome church and have become involved in church programs.  My dilemma is that we want to join this church, but we will be moving away in January 2008.  He is in the military so we knew it was bound to happen sooner or later.  My question is, is it wise to become church members when we will be moving away?

Okay - well, this is just MY opinion but I think if you feel this is where God has placed you at this time and you feel at home in this church and you feel like part of their family then you should DEFINITELY join. January '08 is almost a year away! A LOT of things can happen in a year. Personally, I think you should PRAY about it and listen to what God tells you to do. Not what I or anyone else might THINK you should do. Pray for God's guidance and He WILL let you know the answer to this.

If it is where He wants you, then you will know it and you will have a peace about what to do. He is not the author of confusion.

I agree with these two ladies, God has you were you are right now for a reason and you should join the church because in one year a lot of things can change but right now you are where you are and should live for the lord there and do what you feel the lord is leading you to do
