ABOUT ME

I am married . Have been for 37 years. We have 6 kids and 5 grandkis and 1 on the way. I love kids so that is why I am a youth leader at our church. My 2 youngest daughters are in college and they bring the college kids home which I love. This summer I went on a mission trip to Costa Rica. There we worked with street kids and painted a church and poured concrete at another church. I also worked with the Project Abraham there. It was an awesome trip.

LIKES

I like to fishing, swimming, work in the flowers, college football and of course KENTUCKY BASKETBALL. I aso like working with teenagers in my youth group and hanging with my grandkids.

Prayer for the Day

Dear Heavenly Father, I do want to be close to You, so help me to spend the time in prayer, and reading Your Word in order to make that a reality. And Lord, when You do speak something to my heart, help me to obey You and not resist the things You are asking me to do. Lord, I also want to be a peacemaker, so fill my mouth with Your Words of wisdom when I encounter an opportunity to minister to those who are opposed to each other. Also, help me to remain in peace with those in my circle of acquaintances. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

WwW.SparkleTags.Com It's hard to believe that the weekend is here again. I won't be on line as much after tomorrow for awhile. It's that time of the summer to entertain our grandchildren. We begin on Sunday by meeting our daughter and son-in-law who lives in AR and picking up the two older kids, Helen and Daryn. They say they are staying for-ev-er with us, but the truth is they most probably will get homesick for mom, dad and brother Lukas before "forever" happens. Let's try if we're lucky maybe a month. While they are here with us the other three grandkids will be taking turns here as well. We enjoy this time of the summer and know before we turn around they will be older and not likely want to visit Mimi and Danna. So, hence my title, "Don't take one moment for granted."
