I'm a born again Christian and a Baptist born and raised, just trying to do what's right in Gods' eyes. Proverbs 3:5 is my life verse, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto your own understanding" Went to Christian school from 2nd to 4th grades, mom was a Beginners' Sunday School teacher, dad helped out in Awana, and I participated in Awanas myself and would like to again sometime after finishing college. I'm currently in Wichita Falls, after living in the Amarillo area most of my life, pursuing a BA in English at Midwestern State and my minor is history. I plan on eventually working in the media, like publishing or wherever I'm led to, but, currently I work for the Public Library as a Library Assistant.
I love to read, so if I'm not studying, I usually find a book and read it almost all day long. Into science fiction, historical biographies, military drama, and alternate history(I even read some of the Christian books for spiritual help). I read a lot of books by Harry Turtledove, who has a series of novels about what would happen between the Civil War and WW2 if the Confederacy had won the Civil War. I've read a few novels by Tom Clancy, Micheal Chricton, Isaac Asimov, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Mark Twain, etc etc. Have read all of the Left Behind series of novels, including the prequels that are out.
I don't drink and I don't smoke and never have, not a person who likes bars or being in large groups of people. I'm more of an observer, so I'm usually the quiet person nobody ever seems to notice and I like being the guy who does the opposite of everyone else, I don't really like conforming to everyone else. What's the fun in that?!? ha ha I'm serious, sarcastic, goofy, shy, I'm the guy friend but never the boyfriend lol.
I'm single and I don't have any kids anywhere running around, since I'm one of those few men who are actually interested in waiting until marriage to have sex. I'm a gentleman in a technological world. I open the door for most everyone, and if I'm on a rare date(I'm very picky) I open the car door, open the restaurant door, let her sit first, just generally being chivalrous. I'm honest, trustworthy, a loyal friend as long as you want to be friends, dependable.
I like bowling, hiking, playing PS2 sports games, fishing, camping, and going to historical museums about Colonial America, the Civil War, or the American West. However, since I live in the American West, I have yet to see museums for the other two! ha ha Into NASCAR, but have never been to an actual race. Only watch football during the playoffs and the Bowl games, but, my favorite teams are Da Bears, Packers, Cardinals, ASU Sun Devils, U of Arizona Wildcats, Texans, The Sooners, and since I'm in Texas, I'm obligated to say...... j/k! Into Olympic sports like track and field, swimming, and almost everything in the Winter Games. I can be an aggressive driver, but I'm very defensive; so get out of my way if you're driving way too slow
