Have you found yourself hated, unpopular & treated like an outcast, just because you stand up for the truth or speak against sin, expose works of darkness or raise your voice against injustice??
Since we are 'light in the Lord' sometimes we are not welcome were deeds of darkness prevails.
Ephesians 5 : 8For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9(for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10and find out what pleases the Lord. 11Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13But everything exposed by the light becomes visible,Have people you've been in touch with deleted you from their list or blocked you from their list, just because your stand disturbed them??
Have you lost some friends because you no longer fit into their group & follow they ways??
Have you been misjudged, misunderstood??
Well I just stopped by to tell you, we all go through such times but don't be discourage or be weary of doing good.
Galatians 6: 9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. You know JESUS too was hated & knew we His followers will face the same.
John 15: 18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 1 John 3: 13Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. When we dare speak up or write against immorality, we will disturb some.
1 John 4: 5They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood. John 17: 14I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. It's easy to be popular by following the patterns of this world & when you compromise with sin. But John warns we are to faithfully obey God's Word. We are not on this earth to win any popularity contest.
Our reward is with God. In fact He is our reward. How blessed we are to have God's presence within us. With God on our side, though we stand alone, we are on the majority.
Let not what people say or think about you bother you. God sees your heart & knows your thoughts & motives. Just continue to serve Him. It's what He thinks about you that's important.
People may fail to see your love & concern for them. They may fail to understand. Cheer up, keep serving God faithfully & obeying HIM.
