We all have seen Rudolf the Rednosed Reindeer animation. When Rudolf and friends end up on a parcular island called "The Island of Misfit Toys" they are toys that have a glitch. They have something wrong with them and so they have been banished to the misfit island. Many of today youth are forced to fit into a cookie cutter image of popularity, style and money. If for some reason they don't match up to this ever changing standard then they are cast aside to fend for themselves. I am a youth minister that seems to have a youth group full of misfit youth.
They can't afford Abercrombie or Hollister. They like heavy metal music. Most of them have pretty rough home lives, but the one thing they all have in common is they love God and they love each other.
I have dedicated my time and passion to ministering to a outcast band of misfit youth and i would not trade them or any of the beautiful people.
