I love Thanksgiving, and memories of Thanksgiving flood my memory; of past holidays with all the cousins and our yearly talent shows. The hard lesson of learning that YOU DO HAVE TO TAKE THE GIBLETS OUT OF THE TURKEY before you cook him, but not until after you already have!! LOL (Hopefully I was NOT the only one to learn that lesson!!) Ha ha!! In more recent memory though, it is the knowledge that "Thanksgiving" should be a constant occurence, being thankful for all we have, and especially for all we can do for the Lord.
This Thanksgiving will find me working (AHHHH) but I do like my job, and so therefore will spend the day being thankful, and rejoicing because I can rejoice, and SHOULD rejoice, regardless of my situation or circumstance. I work with troubled kids, who for one reason or another cannot be with their family, so there is sometimes alot of sadness where I work. As the Lord made me an encourager, I am thankful that I have a job where God can, will and DOES use me!
I'm sure everyone has lots to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, I know I do! God Bless!!
