We do have the perfect example.  Even though Westly, Calvin and or Buddha and the eastern religions infer or outright say we can reach perfection for me there is only one and till Glory I will not be perfect. So?  So yes Jesus is the example we should follow.

We are not soon to be hanging on a cross for mankind although we do se that more and more Christ's warning that we will be persecuted for following and proclaiming His Kingdom.  So what are other ways to be in service to others.

We know that to Serve is to put others needs in the fore-front of our life’s.  Mother Teresa always comes to mind.  She is one of thousands of missionaries that have given or are dedicating their lives to others in many way.

Serving needs, Spiritual and Physical is in the calling to serve. Bob Iddings my current pastor said once; " Handing a Bible Verse to a staving man is not service. Feeding those who are hungry is following Christ's example."  I am paraphrasing he would have said it much more elegant that I have represented here. His point is well taken.  I remember early in my walk when being told by young girl of her troubles with her current boyfriend telling her what the Bible had to say about that. I gave her verses and told that she should not be sad...and changed the subject.  What a JERK I was and what help did this offered to her bruised heart?

Of course we are to share the Gospel and our ESH with those who suffer.  We are to share our hearts and ACTIONS with them as well. 

YOU FEED THEM he said.  You can Walk, YOU Can SEE, YOU ARE HEALED.  Jesus was about Action.  So we should be too.
