As I look around I see a lot of unhappy christians. That kind of amazes me in a sense. You have been chosen to serve the king of kings. The bible says I have chosen YOU, you haven't chosen me. That's exciting, God chose YOu to live eternity in glory. No pain, no sorrow but pure joy. Being reunited with lost loved ones. You just have to let go! I tried holding onto the world and serving God and it made me miserable. It can't be done. God spoke out about the lukewarm christian. Revelation 3:16 says so because you are neither hot nor cold but lukewarm I will spew thee out of my mouth. God detests this practice of serving and worship. What is so important about this world anyway? Drinking, clubs, bars? Don't go out Friday or Saturday night and come into church sunday seeking a blessing. That's an insult to God and everything Jesus did for you. I have christians ask me why can't I drink 1 or 2 and hang out at the bars withmy friends. Well....... 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20 Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost therefore glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. NOTE: We should try to live lives that glorify God and bring honor to His name, not just in what we eat and drink but in our words, thoughts, and actions as well. Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. Proverbs 31:4, 5 It is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert judgment. Leviticus 10:8-10 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying, do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean. Habakkuk 2:15 Woe unto him that giveth his neighbor drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken. Isaiah 65:8 The new wine is found in the cluster, destroy it not; for a blessing is in it. Proverbs 23:29-32 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an addcr. NOTE: The word "wine" in the Bible can mean either fermented or unfermented grape juice. The same is true of the word "cider" today, which can mean either fermented or unfermented apple juice. Alcohol destroys health, lives, and families, judgement, will power and the ability to distinguish between holy and unholy. The only wine anyone should use is unfermented grape juice. 1Corinthians 6:9, 10 Be not deceived: ... drunkards ... shall not inherit the kingdom of God. That's why you can't drink or hang out in bars, God forbids it! smoking and doing drugs will keep you unhappy and away from the presence of God. 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are Well hmm. Smoking causes cancer, drinking kills the liver and drugs....well we know how they destroy lives. You think the bible has something here? God has put this on my heart because so many of us are falling by the waste side and the end is so near. The rapture is about to happen, don't get caught where you shouldn't be doing things the bible tells you not to do. SO in closing the reason christians are unhappy is because they are holding on to worldy things, ideas. God wants all of you or none of you. John 3 :7 says a man must be born again to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Not be catholic or baptist or any other religion. If you want true peace in your heart, your mind and your marriage give your life to God, it's his life anyway. I hope this changes someones life. God bless.
