Cursing(A must read)

The Bible on Cursing Many seem to think that cursing or using sour language is just a part of everyday life and in no way ties in with who you are or what you believe. This is a sad assumption that many make and suffer from their own words daily without even knowing the depth of their internal injuries. Every word you speak defines the person inside in depth without any further explanation. You don't explain your words, your words explain you. (Matthew 15:11)-Not what goes into a man's mouth that defiles him but what comes out So basically you don't make your words, your words make you. Every sentence you speak is a story in itself about you and your personality and the way you are living. *To the Secular Society* Cursing is a common way of expression even though in my opinion it expresses a lack of vocabulary. Who would use senseless words out of their context to fill in pauses in sentences? Cussing is an insult to the human race and we take it willingly and without a fight a lot of the time. Anything that pollutes our minds should be a public enemy but instead of being angered with cursing we anger each other with the cursing that we are supposed to be fighting against. Every time a curse word leaves your mouth you are telling others around you that you have nothing better to say than vulgar and inappropriate things. Some say cursing isn't inappropriate. However for both Christians and non-Christians alike cursing is an immoral act. For non-Christians it breaks the harmony that society should sustain. It takes way peace sometimes with single words. Anything that breaks peace is not only immoral but simply un-American. The constitution even limits freedom of speech in the case that it would break peace. Peace is essential and cursing is a flaming arrow to the house of peace that is built of gas. It causes an explosion of irrational responses that at times seem uncontrollable. Explosions and outbreaks that eliminate peace can be eliminated if we eliminate profanity as a whole. If we don't eliminate profanity, profanity will eliminate our peace and unity and without that we will not only fall divided but stand divided as well and to stand divided is to fall quickly and painfully. So for secular society cursing is as lethal as to the Christian one. *To the Christian Nation* Cursing is not even an option. Cursing breaks peace which is a key feature of the New Testament. -Romans 1:7(Grace and peace to you from God) -Romans 15:13(May God fill you with hope and peace) -Romans 16:20(God of Peace) -2nd Corinthians 1:2(May grace and peace be with you from God) -2nd Corinthians 13:11(Live in peace and May the God of peace be with you) -Galatians 6:16(Peace and mercy be to all) -Ephesians 1:2(Grace and peace be to you) -Ephesians 2:13(God is our peace) -Ephesians 2:18(God preached peace) -Ephesians 6:23(Peace to you) -Philippians 1:2(Grace and peace be to you from God) -Colossians 1:2(Grace and peace be to you from God) -1st Thessalonians 1:1(Grace and peace be to you) -2nd Thessalonians 1:2(Grace and peace be to you from God) -2nd Thessalonians 3:16(May the Lord of peace give you peace at all times) -1st Timothy 1:2(Grace, mercy and peace be to you from God) -2nd Timothy 1:2(Grace, mercy and peace be to you from God) -Titus 1:4(Grace and peace from God be with you) -Philemon 1:3(Grace and peace from God be with you) -1st Peter 1:2(Grace and peace be yours in abundance) -2nd Peter 1:2(Grace and peace be yours in abundance through Christ) -2nd John 1:3(Grace, mercy and peace be with you from Jesus) -3rd John 1:3(Peace to you) -Jude 1:2(Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance) The churches were built on peace. The apostles and disciples lived in peace. Jesus taught peace. Jesus lived in peace. Jesus gave us his peace. Every single martyr has died in peace. Jesus died in peace. As Christians our life should be centered on love and peace. The two are inversely related. If you have no love you have no peace; if you have no peace you have no love. Anything that prevents love or peace should be eliminated immediately from our lives. Love is the most important commandment in the bible as stated in Matthew 22:37-40 and a key effect of love is peace. Therefore breaking peace or causing disturbance is not love because it is not peaceful. We are the examples to the world. Let's show them an example of love and peace just as our heavenly father did. May all the glory be to our Father in Heaven.
