Today we celebrated my friend Elzie's passing on to the presence of the Lord. He left this world on August 14, and though he is missed, we can rejoice because there is no doubt about where he is. This man touched many lives and through his recovery program 12 steps to freedom God's way, he helped many people recover from addictions. It was through him that my heart was prepared for God's love and mercy and I will never, ever forget him.
Elzie's only regret in dying was that he wanted to do more for Jesus here on earth, But I am sure that he has heard those words we all want to hear: Well done good and faithful servant. We was told today that when he died, he had a smile on his face. Maybe he could see the face of God, eh?
My brother, I love you and I miss you and I am looking forward to when we meet again.
