Love not the things of this world
|
1st John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abideth forever.
Dear Lord, help us to not love the things of this world and the lusts that are so abundant. Abba, forgive us when we have fallen short and teach us to overcome the flesh. We are Children of God and have overcome because greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world. (1st John 4:4)
Thank you Lord that we can come to you and ask you to cleanse us and renew our minds. Wash us with the water of your Word Lord.
Because
Luk 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
Thank you Lord!! Bind our feet to walk down the pathway of your Will God. Let us not wonder to the right or the lieft but walk in the path of Truth so that we may abide with you forever. It's in Jesus name I pray Amen
