relaxing at the beach
Posted On 08/16/2006 00:18:15 by beachman
What is it about the beach. I try to get down here as much as possible but it's still 2.5-3 hours away and I do have to work for a living. I spent a lot of time down here this year. Probably about 3.5 weeks worth thus far. Why? Have you ever heard the song that has the line: "Have you ever stood at the ocean, with the white foam at your feet? Felt the endless thundering motion, than I say...you've seen Jesus my Lord" That's a big part of the love for the beach. I guess it is also fonf child hood memories, the fresh salty air, seeing my son feel the same love for the beach as I do. If you ever have a tough situation, it can al fade away by sitting in a beach chair with the warm sun basking your body, and the sand covering your feet and sifting through your toes. The salty air filling your lungs, the breeze massaging your body, and the periodic jumping into the ocean, diving into the waves, being baptized by the water as the old self jumps in and the new fresh self comes up on the other side of the wave. It's like the perfect medicine and I can't seem to get enough! A storm was approaching today and I was walking out on the jetty of rocks surrounded on both sides but the roaring Ocean and getting soaked. If I was on a street and was soaked by a splash of a car, I would be upset, but every splash of the salty waves only seem to relax me more!
