ANOTHER THING!

“When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judea into Galilee, he went unto Him, and besought Him that He would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.” John 4:47

This man had come to Jesus because his son was sick to the point of death. He had gone to Jesus because Jesus was the only hope he had. What do you do, when what you have is dying; you’re in trouble; you’ve tried everything you know and nothing is working? What do you do when your situation seems hopeless, helpless, impossible and unmanageable?

You go to the One who takes one thing and makes it another.

This nobleman went seeking the One who had just turned water into wine. He went seeking the One who had just taken one thing and made it another.  Not only had Jesus gone to a wedding feast and turned water into wine, but the wine that He made out of water, was better than the wine they had in the beginning.  Jesus takes one thing and makes it another, and the latter will be better than the former.

This man needed Jesus to take his sick son, and make him well….Jesus specializes in taking one thing and making another. We know that Jesus made the blind see; the lepers cleansed; the lame walk and the dead rise; He brought light into darkness; He takes nothing and makes something. He takes sinners and makes them saints; He changes our bondage to freedom and our spiritual death into spiritual life. Jesus takes one thing and makes another.

This man went to Jesus and Jesus told him, ‘Go, your son lives…’ And the Bible tells us that the man believed the Word of Jesus, so his son lived. 

What do you need? Do you have a situation that needs to be changed from one thing to another? Do you know a person who needs to be changed and transformed from one state to another?   When you seek Jesus, you find that you’re not who you used to be, because Jesus takes one thing and makes another, and the latter will be better than the former.

Do you believe the Word of the Lord? Seek the One who makes changes, but He Himself never changes.
