Are the petty arguments with the world distracting Followers of Jesus from the war that rages around us?  Taking God out of the pledge of allegence 'to the flag...?'  Taking prayer out of public school... taking the 10 commandments out of courthouses, taking a "war memorial" cross out of public view, protesting and condemning homosexuals to hell and wahh wahh wahh... Are Christians really being 'injured' by these marshmallows that satan is tossing at us?  Are we honestly dawning the full armor of God for this pillow fight?

I am not advocating that we stop going to church, however, we 'sacrifice' our time on sundays and wednesdays and maybe even thursdays and fridays to be at church.  We sacrifice our resources to feed the new church building dog.  We sacrifice a few minutes a day (maybe) to read and possibly journal about the word.  We sacrifice our words, thoughts and hearts to God in prayer for the struggles we face, the hardships we are encountering,  for the straying and lost sheep and for the food we are eating.  At the same time, husbands and wives are at each others throats on the way to the sunday masqurade ball where they put on their 'happy perfect life' face.  Children and young adults are in youth groups singing and talking about how much they love Jesus and during the week they are hooking up, feeling each other up, drinking, smoking, cursing, and having sex.

  I have my head down at church not because I'm praying the whole time, but because women are walking around in shirts that only cover up their tan lines and skirts that would make madonna blush.  I have to nearly gouge my eyes out AT CHURCH in order to love my God and my future wife with my eyes, thoughts and emotions. 

Does God desire sacrifice or does He take delight in obedience... defend the fatherless, plead the case of the widow, associate with those less fortunate... LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR... Love God with ALL your heart mind soul and strength... Parents, SPEND TIME WITH YOUR KIDS.  I started having sex at 12 YEARS OLD!!!  My parents worked all the time and didn't get involved in my life.  Please, I admonish you to spend time with your kids, be honest with them, read the Bible with them...

I pray that they take all of the Christian 'crutches' out of this country so we will have no other option than to fully rely on Jesus' relationship with us.  No one can stop you from taking Jesus wherever you go.  You are allowed to bring His love into schools, into your workplace, into your neighborhood, into the lives of the homeless, homosexual, pregnant teens, into the ghetto, into anywhere!  You are not only allowed to bring Jesus into your home, but you MUST make Jesus the focal point of family.  With pursecution comes true growth.  Lord, may you bring pursectuion into the United States in order to stimulate growth and dependance upon Jesus alone.
