Fly Away, Beautiful Butterfly
Fly away beautiful butterfly, not held by the pains of this old world anymore
Never more to face the storms of life, for you are in the presence of the Lord
Your spirit now free, not trapped in a earthly body of pain
No more beautiful butterfly, will you feel the stinging rain
No harsh words will blow upon your back now, no more sorrows to hold
No more worrying about little things, no more fears for you to unfold
For you have flown away for the final time, and left me here to cry
O beautiful butterfly, you are the one who taught me how to soar and fly
I owe so much to you, because we shared so many things that no one else did
Now you are free my beautiful butterfly, you are not bound in a earthly jar with a lid
You are dancing free as the wind, with all the angels around the throne
Father has opened up the cocoon and you grew and finally flew home
You are free now, my beautiful butterfly, and you will not be hurting no more
For you have flown little butterfly away from this world to be with the Lord.
