Silence is golden
Posted On 01/14/2007 14:31:28 by Jeffy2006

We should always watch what we say. Sometimes silence is golden. Our tongue is like a sharp two edged sword. We need speak words that edify the body. We can't tame the tongue on our own. We have to use the power of the holy spirit. We pray and seek guidance to help up us say the right things. I have a hard time saying the right things at the right time. I am always speak first then think later and it get me in all kinds of trouble. We need to listen more with our ears and our hearts so that we don't make the wrong decisions. We are to lift each other up with words of wisdom and joy. I appreciate you taking the time to read my blog. Keep up the faith and always looks towards the heavens. He is coming back soon and we need to be on our toes at all times.

In his service,

Jeffy

Amen brother! We hold the power of life and death in our mouth - every time I am about to say something I need to remember to ask myself, "Will I speak life or death?" Let's choose to speak LIFE!!!!

Hi jeffy2006

I am the same way with speaking first and thinking later and it gets me into a lot of trouble and i find that i get into a lot of condemnation and then beat myself up. the scripture is true that life and death are in the power of the tongue. I want so much to tape into the power of God.

How true Jeffy & Family,

This is so true, I try to adhere to this, but as you said above some times, we do say before we think, and it is so hard to take back something after it is said, it is there for life,............and I hope everyone reads this.....everytime you see that person, either we or they think of what has been said/ I have gotten better about the situation the older I get, but you know sometimes, we tell best friends in confidence, ......and there wasn't confidence there at all.

Thanks for this, and I am sure this blog, has hit home to most everyone on here, it might lol, have been aimed at a few, lol, including me, hope not, but it was a great blog, and to be read by everyone to be honest!

Have a great Day Jeffy you and yours.

Love in Christ Jesus,

Dove7........Leigh
