Blog Entry: Herman rolled the dice and it came up as a 7. The crowd surfacing around him made a sound of praise. “I have never seen such a man play this game so well.” A man’s voice broke out in the crowd. “Neither have I…” A tempting woman’s voice replied behind him as Herman felt a hand on his back. Herman glanced and caught the sight of a endearing, young blonde in a light blue dress. Herman gave a sigh of arrogance and rolled again. “Six point five million!” The man’s voice yelled as the crowd cheered. Herman nodded to the table man and he handed over the chips. “Break.” Herman said as he took the chips and walked away. The crowd gave a disappointed sigh, as Herman walked over to a plush couch. He sat down as the woman slowly waked towards him with the crowd dispersing behind her. “That’s quite a hand you have there.” She said as she sat down next to him. Herman put his chips near his feet and looked into the woman’s brown eyes. “Chaz Gates.” Herman said holding out his hand. “Lucille Fenton.” She said as she shook his hand. “Lucy?” Herman asked as she nodded in agreement. “Tell me Lucy, what’s gambling to you.” Herman said as he situated himself no the couch to look Lucy straight in the eye. “Expectation of getting something you have wanted forever.” Lucy replied eyeing Herman’s body. Herman laughed as he stood and cracked his fingers. “What would you do with the money I have right now?” Herman asked as Lucy looked him up and down. Lucy’s smile made Herman almost melt. “Exasperate the person who won it.” Lucy said standing. “Oh really?” Herman asked as he bent down to pick up his chips. “Come then.” He replied smiling and taking Lucy’s hand. Herman pulled Lucy towards the table. “One roll.” Herman said handing the dice to Lucy. “All of it.” Herman said sliding the chips towards the table man. Lucy gave an affectionate grin. “Gambling is the way to win what you can or give it all up in one blow. It’s the best demise the devil has created.” Herman whispered as he stepped behind Lucy and taking her hand flinging it as she let go of the dice. “Six.” Lucy said as the man took all the chips away. With that, Herman walked away.                                                             ى The garden was full of lush flowers and plants that looked to be from different countries if that. I walked along the stone path into the dimly lit garden as Mikayala walked next to me, her head down. Suddenly Mikayala stopped and sat down on a wooden bench. I sat down next to her as she folded her hands on her lap and looked up at the running fountain of little white stone babies. “People are intentionally bad natured, but it’s their own choice to choose to do the right thing.” Mikayala responded as if breaking the silence was a revolution. Her voice was not soft and cute anymore. It turned bitter and serious. I kept my glare on the figurines atop of the fountain as I felt Mikayala reach for something under her dress. “Don’t you agree?” Mikayala asked as I knew she had something that could severely wound or kill me in her hand. However, I dared not look her way. “To an extent…the people who choose to do the right thing, but where does right and wrong subsist from?” I asked glancing down every so often at something shining in the moon light. “The basis of God and his rules have been passed down ever since he instilled them into nature. People now won’t give credit to God for putting in his rules of nature because of the very fact of saying that there is a God!” Mikayla said as her response gave me a sense of gratitude, but the sudden pain in my side exploded like wildfire. Knowing full well the knife entered my side; I turned and kept my eyes locked on Mikayala’s burning blue eyes. Her passion dignified her as a roaming vixen. I scoffed at the thought. “But do you believe in God?” I asked, my side pulsating from the pain. Mikayala grinned and started to giggle. “Why of course, I just ignore the whole reason of why he created all this and his purpose for my life. As I live out my wasted life, I see and begin to see other wonders.” Mikayala began as my vision started to blur. “Kyle?” Megan’s voice withered as I felt my mind break consciousness. “But those ‘other wonders’ as you call it, fill only empty spots in your heart for a little while and then they fade away to nothing. The constant yearning for purpose in your life will never end until you find that one thing that can complete that yearning.” I said as my vision was completely gone and the pain unbearable. Yet I still felt my body unmoving as I felt a hand on mine. “I’ll see when that happens.” Mikayala’s voice thinned out as a pinch on my thigh made my mind finally fall asleep.                                                         ى “Its not something that can be bought.” I said turning to face the distraught man that now stood before me. “Why does a business man run from fear using money?” I asked as Angus dropped to his knees and started to beg. I started to laugh at his pitiful attempt of asking for more time. “Stand up!” I shouted a little annoyed. Angus complied but kept his eyes trained on my gun. He better not be thinking what I think he’s going to do. I thought as I bent down to sit on an antique couch. “Come.” I said as Angus slowly but disposed, sat down next to me. “God Loves the humble businessman, tell me Angus how much time I should give you.” I said as Angus’s eyes went wide with tears. “Until…what?” He stammered. Rejecting the idea of slapping him, I strenuously kept my gun on my lap. “Annoyance in the person with the key to your fate…isn’t good.” I stammered as Megan’s voice repeated in my ear. “Its almost time!” I quickly picked up my gun and before I knew it, Angus broke down in sobs as my gun was stapled to his head. “What would you do? Huh? Angus! Tell me what you would do, how you would act if you knew that anything you did; I would be watching!” I yelled as Angus’s mouth gaped open. Angus was deadly silent, eyes unmoving, his breathing becoming rapid as the question sank in. “If you knew I watching your every move and that I could kill you with a snap of my finger if I saw you doing wrong, how would you act?” I asked again as Angus seemed mesmerized on something. With a quick rush of his hand, I smiled and stood as Angus’s facial expressions gave me the urge to laugh, but I held it in as I slipped my other gun out and by that time Angus was on the floor withering in pain as he held his shin. I bent down picking up my gun while slipping my other gun on my thigh. A snicker escaped my mouth surprising even me as I pulled out the empty clip from the gun. “I would act as if you are God.” Angus cried. His answer surprised me, I would have thought his brain would not get that far in the realization.                                                    ى             “Please for my humor, do you like the feeling of controlling a person’s ending destiny?” Widow asked as he stepped back and leaned against the wall.             “I don’t control the person’s ending destiny; I merely help them get to where they chose to go.” Stanton replied getting a little uncomfortable with the situation. The haughty laugh made Stanton cringe with fear and anticipation.             “Is that how you see it as? You believe that there is a hell and heaven then?” Widow asked seeming to be more profound on his questioning.             “If you’re asking that I believe in a place we go after we die then yes.” Stanton replied.             “ Stanton give it up. No ones watching you, just give me the proper answer.” Widow said sounding annoyed by the response but aware of the changing scenes playing out in the nightly life.             “I am giving you the right answer.”             “The suddenness of death will show you if your answer is correct. But if not, then you will live forever in the pit of fire.”             “Why cant it be an eternal emptiness?”             “Why would you want that?” Widow challenged.             “Because it makes this life more enjoyable.” Stanton replied leaning on the stone railing. A smirk crossed Widows face at the squabble retort.             “The ways of this world will come to an end along with an eternally empty abyss, where you will forever float.” Widow said sliding a match out of his pocket.             “So excusal.” Stanton barked and moved slowly towards Widow.             “My friend, if you believe in this world, and this world alone…maybe you want to see the other side to experience it first hand.” Widow said as his haughty laugh flew away with the wind.                                               ى Walking over by the fire and sitting down on a chair, the familiar voice spoke behind me. “Why give up so much?” Lucy asked slowly sitting in the chair beside me. I smiled and stared into the blazing flames. “Lucy, the things of this world have absolutely no value to me. What man creates is a figment of their entertainment, joy, and completeness in this world. If man doesn’t create things like money then we have no purpose. But if there is something beyond that of man, well…we have had a purpose ever since birth.” I said, as Lucy seemed more attracted or interested as she scooted closer to the edge of her seat looking at me. “Damien. Over here!” Lucy called as an old man walked over holding two red wine glasses on a silver tray. “Compliments for the lady and her guest.” Damien replied holding out the tray. I took one while Lucy took the other. “Thank you.” I said and he walked away. I held the glass in my hand as the fire grew with excruciating power. “Twenty minutes.” Megan’s voice whispered in my ear. I scoffed a low breath as Lucy sat up in her chair giving off a sense of conformity along with her arrogant mood placement. “What?” Lucy asked as she twirled her wine around in her glass. “What’s the most valuable thing to you in this world?” I asked as Lucy gave me a cute face of discernment. “My mothers diamond necklace worth three billion.” I snickered at her comment. “Would you give it up for anything out of this world?” I asked as Lucy’s facial expressions changed to now a calm but smoldering young woman. “What could possibly be worth that and the memories in the necklace?” Lucy asked. I held up a finger as I stood up. “Three billion, it’s a lot of money in this world. But for the value of giving it all up to live forever in a wonderful place, better then this world times infinity. Would you do it?” I asked as I walked towards the fire. I felt Lucy’s hand on my arm. “Would you?” She responded. I laughed and nodded, slipping the wine in the fire place. The sizzle and bubbles made my suspicions correct, poison of course. I grinned and turned to look deeply into Lucy’s eyes. “But what of a man? Someone who connects so deeply to your inner soul, that you would rather rot in the most degenerate, disease ridden cell and be tortured every second; rather then watch the most valuable thing in the world experience even the slightest pain.” I said as Lucy’s warm breath poured on my face. The beating of my own heart poured into my ear drums as Lucy’s dark brown eyes went into a frenzy. Slowly my head leaned closer towards Lucy’s obsequious lips. Her bottom lip quivering as the intensity of the moment stood at a standstill. “Herman…” Megan’s voice trailed off in my earpiece. I knew it was time, I felt my body move away as my mouth moved to the side of Lucy’s head and almost came into contact with her ear. Talking just above a whisper, “He loves you too much; to him you’re the most precious thing out of anything you can think up and beyond. He took the torture and desecration on a level far too great for humans. So I ask again, what’s the most valuable thing you in this world? A necklace?” I chuckled at the comment. “My dear, you are far more valuable to him then that. Reason being is he died for you. Nobody can take that away. Either you accept it, or…play with a roll of the dice.” I said and turned away. Leaving Lucy standing there, eyes soaked, makeup running, and two little cubes in her open palm.
