Hello I'm Summer, I recieved Jesus into my heart of June of 2007, He has been so good to me and I cannot even express the love He has shown to me. I cannot wait to see the plans He has for me, I know there great. I have a passion for the youth and for orphan children. I am hoping to go to Uganda S. Africa soon to work in the orphanage there. My heart is fixed on nothing less but to serve Him with all my heart.

Psa 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Psa 34:14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Says that we are to keep the tongue from evil, we are to depart from it and seek peace, we are to pursue peace.
It is our responsibility to keep our tongue in check. When we speak bad things we are dishonoring God. When we don’t hold our tongues our testimony means nothing.
Our testimony should be an indication of what’s in our hearts and our minds.
Psa 39:1 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
David was sick, but even in the sickness he remembered the covenant he had made to walk circumspectly and to be careful of what he did and said. David thought it was better to meditate on good things.
Psa 57:4 My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
Saul’s enemies wanted to destroy him physically, but they also wanted to destroy his reputation. By speaking falsely of him. But David protected him.
Psa 42:10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?
Says that a spiteful tongue is a dangerous weapon, Satan uses our tongues as an instrument to fight against Gods people.
Psa 64:3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
Our tongues are that of a sword, it’s a weapon of distraction, the tongue can also be as a flaming sword, a two edged sword, a sword drawn in anger, which cuts and wounds.
Jas 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
Describes the tongue as being used to speak bitter words, fiery darts, of the wicked one. This marks the man or woman of God who is seeking Gods will in there lives. The more good you are the more people will come against you. A good man is envied by the evil ones. But a man who speaks against his neighbor is cursed according to Deu 27:24 Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbor secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.
So even when you are being attacked try not to worry about it because God sees it He says that people who speak against his people should fear the wrath of God.
“ he will take care of those who speak against you”
Pro 12:18 There is that speaketh like the piercing of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
The tongue is death or life, poison or medicine. There are words that are cutting or piercing. Words can grieve the spirit of those whom you are speaking of, and cut them to the heart. Words also wound the reputation of whom the words are spoken about sometimes even doing incurable damage. Words divide and cut asunder the bonds of love and friendship, causing separation of those dearest to us.
Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
The tongue can hurt others as well as yourself according to this scripture. Mans words will be judged by the affection with which they speak. When a man speaks you know the spirit that dwells with in that man or woman.
Pro 21:23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
If we don’t preserve ourselves in what we speak it will and can effect our own lives. It can steal your joy, your peace and even effect your what we do for God. Corrupt talk can kill us as much as the person you are speaking too. If we hold our tongue it keeps are hearts right. Which keeps us ultimately out of trouble.
Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness
is of me, saith the LORD.
This is a promise straight from the Father, a prophetic word spoken,. That even when troubles come and people speak evil against you he restores us, heals us and on top of all that gives us greater blessings then before. The promise is given to the church which is the body of Christ. People who speak against the body of Christ are instruments of ruin of themselves. God condemns those that speak against you, he will bring forth righteousness to the light.
Jas 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity; so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
Refers to the tongue is fire: it can destroy the whole body. Solomon said in Ecc 5:6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
The tongue is insufferable and destructive to others the tongue cause confusion. When men’s tongues are speaking against the brethren its like the fires of hell.
Jas 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
Man cannot tame the tongue, so that’s where we have to kill the flesh and allow the Holy Spirit to speak. We have to crucify the flesh, die to self, because we ourselves cannot control our tongue. Our tongue is poison it kills so we have to kill our flesh. Period when it comes to the tongue.
1Pe 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
If we love life and want it to be wonderful and long, its imperative to watch what we say keep our tongue in check. Overcome evil with good. Even in the days of David day as well as today it is a moral duty to speak life not death. Speaking encouragement, speak peace, comfort, even when we are met with opposition we are to embrace peace.
1Pe 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Here we see it again, kill the flesh and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through you. Our flesh profits nothing to us or anyone else,
Psa 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
The words of our mouth should be meditations of the heart, our heart being focused on the glory of God, and should be edifying to others, the words that come from our mouths come from within, the deep affections you have for your heavenly Father should come from the heart of God.
