Viata studentului crestin a atins un nivel jalnic, imoralitatea sexuala si alte obiceiuri nocive distrug inimile tinerilor din campusul universitar. We are divided in several areas of activity: people who are abbandoned on the streets, refugees, sick children, old folks home, burn treatment hospital, students, and we also have a challenge group. There are testimonies that we will post later. Our activity is now focused on Bucharest, but we pray that it will spread all over Romania. Therefore, we thought about building a center, where we will be able to bring the students for training. We don't want to build a school, but a retreat center, where young people can come, relax and receive a fresh passion, a new vision, and to spend time in prayer and in God's presence. God gave us the piece of land in the Western part of Romania, a beautiful spot. We are now praying for the funds to build the place. But first of all, we pray for more people with passion, with a fire in their hearts, with a heart for Romania and for those here who don't know God. We built a challenge group that is planning to go throughout Romania, in strategic points, to share the vision with the churches, and to establish groups of young people who are ready to serve God. We need much prayer.

SpM3 History God touched the hearts of several Christian students from Bucharest and challenged them to go and share Christ with other non christian students in the capital of Romania. And so they did... even though they were kind of ashamed and didn’t know what to espect. They realised their ministry was a lot about bringing hope to the others through the Gospel so they called themselfs “Hope for the Third Millenium” This were all students at the Thelological Baptist Institut in Bucharest, taking the pastoral class. Soon they shared their vision with more of their schoolmates- some from the pastorall class, others from the theology and social asistance/ romanian language or english/ french class. And so the vision spread out and so did the ministry. More Evanghelical Christian students joined the group and got involved in different areas of activity. Some went to visit the sick and the old in the hospitals on a regular basis; others started ministring to the street kids. Then God continued to enlarge the group’s territory and brought more students in the ministry. After about 6 month from when it all started, a new group started to get involved in ministring to the more than 1000 refugees from Bucharest. Then another new group within “Hope for the Third Millenium” started sharing Christ to the romanian gypsis. Now some others are getting the vision of going to the prisons and bring there as well the Gospel of Hope. The vision spread out within the baptist churches in Bucarest and other more than 10 cyties in Romania. In Bucharest “Hope for the Third Millenium” has more than 100 students involved in the 5 areas that were mentioned. God has been so good! We trust Him for more! It is His ministry... and we’ve learned it well so far, that it’s all about Him! We’re just privilleged to work with Him! You may all join us through you prayers! Luca" THE AREAS OF MINISTRY ARE: - Groups of preaching the Word (in the hospitals, on the streets, in students hostels and in those for old people) - The apprentice and equipment in practical evangelism (through lectures and seminaries) - The equipment in spiritual leadership (through lectures and seminaries) - The challenge group (the encouragement and build in local churches and the evangelising of the visited communities) Domeniile de slujire sunt urmatoarele : - grupe de evanghelizare ( in spitale, pe stada, in camine de batrani, in camine studentesti,etc) - ucenicizare si echipare in evanghelism practic ( prin conferinte si semniarii) - echipare in conducere spirituala ( prin conferinte si seminarii) - Grupul de provocare ( incurajarea si zidirea bisericilor locale, evanghelizarea comunitatilor vizitate) SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES: - Services of common worship - The ministration by evangelising various social categories (the kids from the street, gypsies and sick people) - Conferences and seminaries for the preparation and authorization of team members - Periodical visits in the local churches with the view to build and evangelise - Christian camping - Charitable activities view to uphold the members of the group - The sustainement of the members which engage themselves in the missionary or pastoral work Activitati Specifice : - Servicii de inchinare pentru partasie si inchinare comuna - slujirea prin evanghelizarea diferitelor categorii sociale ( copiii strazii, tiganii, bolnavii, etc) - Conferinte si seminarii pentru pregatirea si imputernicirea membrilor echipei - vizite periodice in bisericile locale in scopul zidirii si evanghelizarii - tabere crestine - Activitati caritabile in scopul sprijinirii membrilor grupului - sustinerea membrilor care se angajeaza in lucrarea misionara sau pastorala

WHICH ARE THE PERSPECTIVES OF THIS GROUP? By the Grace of God, we want to make reality the vision. The first step in materializing this vision was to set this missionary group on the authority of a local church. The second necessary step was the next one: the transformation of this group in The Missionary Foundation ¨The new hope of the third millennium¨. Therefore it can be made a tight team with the responsibility to promote and complete the vision. It has to be mentioned that this group works for the support of the church and not against it. HOW CAN WE HELP THE LOCAL CHURCH? We are at the hand of the local church: • The evangelising of different social categories of people through public services, teaching programs, sport activities, social activities…. • The strengthening of local church: testimonies, worship services, leadership courses, post-modern apology courses and activities for kids and young people. • Youth trips and camping Care sunt perpectivele in SpM3? Prin harul lui Dumnezeu vrem sa aducem la realitate viziunea SpM3: • Fiecare student crestin un misionar • Revitalizarea spirituala a bisericii din Romania • Transformarea Romaniei prin predicarea Evangheliei Primul pas in concretizarea acestei viziuni a fost asezarea lucrarii SpM3 sub autoritatea unei biserici locale. Al doilea pas necesar este urmatorul: Transformarea Grupului “SpM3” in Fundatia Misionara “ Noua Speranta pentru Mileniul 3” in regim de ONG. Astfel se poate realiza o echipa compacta care are ca responsabilitate promovarea si implinirea viziunii. De asemenea trebuie specificat faptul ca Fundatia Misionara “ Noua Speranta pentru Mileniul 3” intentioneaza sa fie la dispozitia bisericii locale. Lucrarea “NSpM3” se face in sprijinul Bisericii si nu impotriva ei. Lucrarea NSpM3 isi incepe activitatea printre studentii din centrele universitare totusi avem in vedere beneficiul Bisericii locale ( pregatim timp de trei ani studentii pentru a fi utili lucrarii lui Dumnezeu acolo unde se vor afla). De ce trebuie sa existe Noua Speranta pentru Mileniul 3? - Pentru a indeplini mandatul de a face ucenici - Pentru a oferi o perspectiva misionara fiecarui student crestin - Deoarece este un cadru propice cresterii spirituale - Deoarece este locul potrivit unde studentul isi poate desfasura practica teologice Cum putem sluji biserica locala? Suntem la dispozitia bisericii: - Evanghelizarea diferitelor categorii sociale prin : servicii publice de evanghelizare, programe de alfabetizare, activitati sportive, activitati cu caracter social, etc - Zidirea bisericii locale : servicii de inchinare,partasie si marturii, cursuri de leadership, cursuri de apologetica postmoderna, activitati cu tinerii si copiii, etc - Tabere si Excursii pentru tineri si copii Care sunt nevoile in SpM3? Rugaciune Incurajarea studentilor din biserica dumneavoastra, care sunt studenti in centrul universitar din Bucuresti, sa se implice in SpM3.
