Brought together by different styles of musical rock preferences, the quartet united under the concept of collaborating those unique styles to create a whole new hard rock sound of their own. While staying true to the general idea of the hard rock sound of the era, Severbelt has taken the simplicity of grunge, the creativity of Indie music, the morals and beliefs of Christianity, thrown in a little nu metal, and blended them together to become a rip-roaring sound of which none have heard. The sound is meshed by laying down hooking rhythm guitar chords, throwing in a walking bass line, then charging it with catchy lyrics and taking it to a whole different level with melodic, piercing guitar riffs and sporadic drum beats.
Besides melting the flesh right off the rock sound, Severbelt brings with it a message that exists within its very name. SvB is about severing the walls that have been built between Christian music and the secular music that dominates todays society. SvB is about breaking down comfort zones that make us so secure in nonchalantly living with a broken world.
