I LOVE the Lord. That is to say... JESUS IS GOD: That God exists as the Father, as the Son, and as the Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:2, John 4:24, & John 14:9-11, 15-20. Jesus was and still is a rebel with a cause. Jesus came down against religion. Jesus came down against sin.
Jesus suffered as a condemned criminal, suffered, died and rose again for the forgiveness of our sins providing us with His mastery over death through His love that never fails! Oh. . . and by The Way, JESUS IS GOD. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. (John 1:1-5) One with God: "I and the Father are one." (John 10:30) All: "God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him." (Colossians 1:19)
But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
God wants us to believe the truth so we can experience abundant life. Many times, faulty thinking creeps into our minds. This leads to emotional and spiritual problems. We need to renew our minds so that we believe the truth and gain righteous through salvation. God is truth, but our enemy, Satan, is the father of lies. (St. John 8:44). Satan wants us to not believe the truth, but instead to believe his lies - lies that he wants to use to destroy us. Satan's lies may sound like this: "I must be perfect, " "I must have everyone's love and approval, " "Things have to go my way for me to be happy, " "Life should be easy, " or "God hates the sin and the sinner." If we believe these lies, we cannot then believe God's truth. We become stunted spiritually, we cannot grow, and we will face problems from without and within. When we believe Satan's lies, we cannot help God's kingdom.
So the key to renewing our minds is to focus on God's truth. First, we must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. Then we must read and believe the promises in His Word. "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." - Romans 10:9-10 "For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ." - 1 Corinthians 3:11
