Let me see ..... what about me would others find of interest?
Mmmmm .... well, I'm a wife, mother of five, and grandmother (or Nana Dar) to fifteen.
My name is Darlene and I live in a very small community in south central Oklahoma, right at the Texas border. I've lived here off and on since I was sixteen. I was born in Arizona, the oldest of three girls. Yeah, I did try to run things at first, 'be the boss' so to speak. I felt that being older should come with benefits but, my two sisters were 'twins' and once they begin to put two and two together, literally, they double teamed on me and put me in my place fast! They made me painfully aware that; although I was the oldest, I was still only one-third of the Thompson siblings! lol
I grew up, married young, had three children, divorced, remarried, had two more children and today I'm happy with everything life has dealt me, the good and bad alike. My husband Mike and I raised our family and now they are all grown with families of their own. It's quiet around our place now and yes, I do miss the sounds of children running and playing but, I also welcome the peace. I do have the grandchildren over when possible and enjoy their company although they tire me out rather quickly anymore. There's just so much energy contained in those small little bodies! (smile)
In my younger days I worked as a nursing assistant, and later as a receptionist. I've done some writing, publishing three poems and a short story. My husband was a truck driver, driving cross country and being away from home for weeks at a time. Neither my husband, nor I, work any longer. We are classified as a 'disabled couple'. His disability is due to a back injury at work just over three years ago. I, on the other hand, seem to reach 50 and then just fell apart! I suffer from arthritis, I'm diabetic and have COPD. I have my good days and my bad and I'm thankful for them all because, every day is a gift from God!
This is me in a few short paragraphs. I'm hoping to meet new people, make friends and share the love of God here.

I dislike hearing people joke, down-grade, talk negative, or unfavorably about religion, The Lord, and Jesus.
Also ..... I can't stand sushi! :(
