MOVIES

I like Southern Gospel but I also like my great-granddaughter's singing :) She's the one on the left with the shorter hair

And I like to watch my great-grandson play ball, too

HOBBIES

This is the quilt that I made for my granddaughter, Jessica. She wanted a quilt made from the material I had left from ALL the quilts I had made so far so her quilt was done in the 9-patch pattern. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a picture of the 'completed' quilt.

These are pictures of the different "stages" of making my youngest daughter's quilt top. More will be added when I start to quilt it and also a picture will be added when it is completed.

ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Mearlene. My daughter 'built' this page for me a while back but I had a lot going on and didn't have time to 'learn' about the site. I am hoping to be able to learn more about it in the next few days though. I just want to meet some Christian friends to fellowship with online. I may not be online a lot but it will be nice to have friends here when I am. If there's anything else you'd like to know about me just send me a message and ask.

LIKES

Quilting, reading, spending time with family, my cat (Nina - pronounced "knee-nah") In this slideshow you can see the first quilt I made (the 9-patch). I took this one to the quilting club and all the ladies helped me quilt it. The ones that helped quilt it signed their names on different squares. After that one, you see pictures of the Sunbonnet Sue quilt that I made for my great-granddaughter, Saharra Rose. However, I found out that my granddaughter was going to hang it on the wall instead of using it, so I made a second quilt and told her it was to be used :) The last picture in this slideshow is the only picture I had of the quilt I made for my oldest daughter, Alice. It is the double-wedding ring and if you look close you will be able to see the double-hearts that were quilted inside the big area.
