I share the following, to help comfort and encourage adoptees and birthmothers, who have given up hope of ever finding their lost loved ones.. And also to share what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for me.. I was born in Fort Worth, Texas. I have been married for 20 years, to my wonderful husband, David..I am a mother of 4. I was adopted at the age of 2. I first came to know Jesus when I was very small, sitting on my adoptive grandma's knee. Since I could walk, talk, and sing, I can remember being loved by Him. I can still recall my grandma's words, the first time she ever told me about Jesus.....And even though I did not fully understand as a little girl of 3, I understood that Jesus first loved me. At age 11, I was removed from my adoptive home, and became a ward of the state of Delaware..I spent the rest of my childhood, in foster homes and institutions, a runaway, abused, neglected, and unwanted..But that was a long time ago.. I have since been reunited with my birthmother and Texas family, after 40 years. I also lost my firstborn child to adoption, as a young single mother..In 18 long years, not a day went by, that I did not grieve her loss. God has brought her back to me as well.. It"s been 4 years since. In the blink of an eye, everything that the enemy had stolen from me, so many years ago, was restored. My birthrite, my name, and my broken heart. It would be impossible to tell you everything The LORD has done for me.. So I will just say this...A day to God , is as a thousand years, and a thousand years, as a day.. Wait on the Lord, no matter how long it takes..He is a God of both Justice and Mercy. When all else fails, He remains Faithful.. Hold on to His unchanging hand, and above all NEVER GIVE UP!!!
