MAGDALENA Mag•da•le•na (magd?-la'n?, mägdä-le'nä) "of Magdala". Mary Magdalene, a character in the New Testament, was named this because she was from Magdala (whose city name meant "tower") a fishing village (modern-day Migdal) on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee in Israel. Magdalena is one of several women who followed and "provided for" Jesus of Nazareth during his traveling ministry, according to Christian scriptures. She is also variously portrayed in other ancient texts, medieval legends and modern interpretations as a rich person, a disciple with special gifts and authority, and a model of feminism. Brief direct references to her in the Gospels, the first four books of the New Testament, indicate her importance. Well, i don't think that life is so cut and dry as to be able to isolate one struggle. at least mine hasn't been! just as God created the seasons that change, our lives are always evolving and changing. we have ups and downs, mountain top experiences and valley times too. there have been many times when i have struggled and fought my way out of depression, fear, anxiety, worry, and doubt. but all of our combined circumstances serve to draw us into a more intimate relationship with Jesus. we learn from our mistakes and we grow through our wounds. and ALWAYS....joy comes in the morning!! I cant wait to see My Lord and Savior .
