JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Authorities continue to look tonight for a 5-month-old girl who was kidnapped at gunpoint this (Saturday) morning near Mantachie in northeast Mississippi's Itawamba County.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert following the kidnapping, which happened around 11:30 am, and the FBI joined the search Saturday afternoon.
Authorities no longer consider the child to be in immediate danger and say the kidnapping suspects could be headed to Georgia.
Itawamba (IT-uh-WAM-buh) County sits on the border with Alabama and is about 60 miles from the Tennessee state line.
The child, Madison Erickson, is adopted.
FBI spokesman Jason Pack says agents are looking for the girl's biological mother "just to see what she knows, if she knows anything about the situation."
Pack says it's too early in the investigation to release the names of Madison's adopted or biological mothers.
Ten agents from FBI offices in Memphis, Tennessee, Tupelo, Oxford and Greenville are working the kidnapping with coordination out of the Jackson office.
Madison was taken at gunpoint during a home invasion. Authorities say one armed man and two women - all white and wearing masks - entered Madison's home, tied up her adopted mother, then took the baby.
Troopers are looking for a gold 2005 Pontiac Sunfire with the Tishomingo County license plate 383-TSV.
The baby has brown hair and brown eyes and weighs about 13 pounds. A picture of Madison has been put on the national Amber Alert site, http://www.amberalert.gov.
Authorities ask anyone with information to call the Itawamba County Sheriff's Office at (662) 862-3401 or troopers at (866) 262-3775 or 47 by cell phone.

On this 4th of July remember the 56 men, who made up the Continental Congress, who laid their lives, homes, wealth, and their families lives on the line for the freedom of this United States of America on the 'first' 4th of July 1776 by signing that dangerous document declaring our independence from the British.
Also...Pray for our Leaders, their obediance to God and their safety as they serve the greatest country on the earth!
Unfortunately- much blood has been spilled over the last 200+ years on behalf of these colors. Pray for our troops, as they lay their lives on the line, continuing to protect our freedom ... our right to live as we want to live ... our right to worship our LORD -- freely -- as the Holy Spirit leads us. PRAISE GOD!
Praise God that He chose us to be born in this country ... Land of the free--Home of the brave.
