MOVIES

Oh my favorite movie is a western. Here's a quote from it, "You're a daisy if you do" and "I'm ya Huckleberry" Next to that is the movie THE CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR. I love the SciFi Channel and SciFi movies. I like murder mysteries and action movies. No chick flicks...I'm kind of a tom boy. I also like British comedies. One of my favs was CHEF and KEEPING UP APPERANCES Does anyone know the name Inspector Poirot? (Smile)

MUSIC

GOSPEL is my all time favorite. But this lady also likes Ottmar Liebert, Sade, John Rutter, Ludacris, Ozzy Osbourne, Mary J. Blige, Billy Idol, Boys II Men, DeBarge and Bee Gees. C'mon man, I'm an 80's lady. We listened to everything back then and became quite ecclectic in our musical tastes.

HOBBIES

Reading... I read a lot. Writing...I love to write poetry. I really want to get back into the poetry scene and "spittin rhymes". I love teaching God's word. I guess that could be a "hobby". Especially if it is something you do on a regular basis that you love to do but don't get paid to do. HMMM, never thought of it that way. God is my "hobby" because I enjoy HIM. ABOUT ME

Let's see, what to say, what to say. Let me think about it. I will initially say that my life is an open book, so, got questions... just ask! My goal on this site: to do whatever God will have me to do -- make friends, minister, laugh, play, network, whatever. I will say that my all time favorite female preacher/teacher is JOYCE MEYERS. She and I are emotional twins! LOL Favorite male preacher/teacher is T.D. Jakes. He is so eloquent in speech and still down to earth. I grew up in a multi-cultural environment and that is where I am most comfortable. I'm Diverse by Design

LIKES

I love the theater but I don't get to go often. I need some artsy fartsy friends, some church friends, and some 80's babies. Do you know any? I hope to be able to make many friends while on here. Some for a season, others for a lifetime.

DISLIKES

I dislike Christians who feel they should only talk about the bible. I love the Lord and I love His word. But, can we play a video game? Can we go skating? Can we talk about politics? There is a wideness in God's mercy and it spans the topics of life.

Prayer for the Day

Dear Heavenly Father, I do want to be close to You, so help me to spend the time in prayer, and reading Your Word in order to make that a reality. And Lord, when You do speak something to my heart, help me to obey You and not resist the things You are asking me to do. Lord, I also want to be a peacemaker, so fill my mouth with Your Words of wisdom when I encounter an opportunity to minister to those who are opposed to each other. Also, help me to remain in peace with those in my circle of acquaintances. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer for the Day

Dear Father God, I am ever so grateful to have access to a reservoir of wisdom, counsel, and guidance in knowing You. I know when I have a problem I can ask You how to solve it, and You always have the perfect answer. Thank you for sending my answers in many different ways, and through many different people. I have been very blessed by the family of God, as they have reached out to help us in so many ways. I do appreciate the prayers of Your people. I also thank you for speaking to people to help us financially in this ministry. Lord, bless each person back in the form of their need. I thank You for my brothers and sisters in Christ. Bless them all and meet their needs. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
