Hello to you all and God Bless. Please pass this on…share it with everyone.
As many of you know I re-recorded the song I had written after the tragedy of 911. The song “TRAVEL ON OUR KNEES” now makes reference in the first verse to the tragedy we experienced this month with the shooting at Virginia Tech.
This song will be available for download on or before the 28th of April 2007.
Please be a part of helping me raise money to donate to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund at Virginia Tech University. Okay,Okay I guess I can get a little serious here. You all know me as the funny man in the comments. When I see something like this it makes think to myself.
I don't really think any of us Christians know what it is like to walk in Jesus sandals. I see this picture of Jesus walking with the cross and think of the movie "Passion of the Christ".
The way they portrayed Jesus carrying the cross was the a lot more graphic than this. The pain and suffering he went through is far more than any of us can and ever will imagine any of us ever going through.
So in closing I want us to reflect to ourselves for a minute or two and pray this prayer.
Father in heaven. I know that we can never walk in Jesus sandals and feel his pain. We can thank you for sending him to us to take the burden of sin upon himself in our place. He went to the pits of hell to defeat Satan and his army of demons so that we did'nt have to. Thanks be to you and your holy spirit that strengthens us dailey. We ask this in your most precious name.
Amen.
Keep the faith.
In His Service.
Jeffy
I'm not perfect. I have all kinds of problems. I have no ability. I have no gifts. I'm just not worthy. Why would God want me?
Well, did you know that
Moses stuttered.
David's armor didn't fit.
John Mark deserted Paul.
Timothy had ulcers.
Hosea's wife was a prostitute.
Amos' only training was in the school of fig-tree pruning.
Jacob was a liar.
David had an affair.
Solomon was too rich.
Jesus was too poor.
Abraham was too old.
David was too young.
Peter was afraid of death.
Lazarus was dead.
John was self-righteous.
Naomi was a widow.
Paul was a persecutor of the church.
Moses was a murderer.
Jonah ran from God's will.
Miriam was a gossip.
Gideon and Thomas both doubted.
Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal.
Elijah was burned out.
John the Baptist was a loudmouth.
Martha was a worry-wart.
Noah got drunk.
Did I mention that Moses had a short fuse?
So did Peter, Paul - well, lots of folks did.
But God doesn't require a job interview for salvation. He's our Heavenly Father. He doesn't look at financial gain or loss. He's not prejudiced or partial, not judging, grudging, sassy, or brassy, not deaf to our cry, not blind to our need. He know who we are and what we are and loves us in spite of ourselves
SATAN SAYS, "YOU'RE NOT WORTHY."
JESUS SAYS, "SO WHAT? I AM."
SATAN LOOKS BACK AND SEES OUR MISTAKES.
GOD LOOKS BACK AND SEES THE CROSS.
God’s grace is sufficient. Dwell in Him and you will be blessed.
